Sorry for the delay in posting this week’s video. I’m in New York City on business and posting remotely is sometimes a protracted process.
This week we’re looking at the VRay material creation paradigm by creating glass and metal materials. It’s surprisingly easy to get some realistic effects so I think you’ll like this one. I’ve gotten some complaints on YouTube that you all want me to go back to mental ray and core 3dsMax functionality. Let me do a few more VRay videos and I promise I’ll try to blend in some of the original types of content.

I’m just beginning to learn 3D Studio Max 2010 and Vray. FINALLY!! Video tutorials that makes sense and are easy to understand…thank you.
I’ve been using Kerkythea and would like to try Vray. I’ve seen awesome results.
I just found your website and maybe shouldn’t mention this at this early stage but I do have a difficult time finding the tutorials just on Vray unless I “search” for Vray. Maybe a Vray tab?
I need to learn from the get go but it’s the materials and lighting for interior scenes that I need to focus on. I’m sent scenes such as kitchens and living rooms for render presentations. Getting cloth to look like cloth, a refrigerator to look like stainless steel, faucets to look like chrome…that sort of thing. Getting the lighting right for interior scenes is tricky for me.
I am SO looking forward to your tutorials.
Once again, THANK YOU! I’ve been hunting for tutorials like this for weeks.
