Hey all!
Sorry about the delay this week; it’s a holiday in the USA, so I took it. This week we’re looking at how you can easily replicate molding around the top of an old building in 3dsMax. It’s a simple technique using splines, extrusion, and some cubes. You’ll find that modeling molding is surprisingly easy!

Hi,
First of all: Kudos to your effort! 🙂 I saw one of your topics @ cgtalk.com a while ago. And since a then your website is a regular stop for me.
Anyway, I saw that you a little bit of “trouble” finding the right amount of fillet as can be seen at time 6.00 – 6.07.
Here’s a tip: When your holding down Alt, when adjusting the spinners, you can control your input amount much more accurately.
While holding Shift, your input “accelerates”.. (I’m sure there is another word for this :P).
This also works while zooming, and scrolling through the menus in 3ds Max. Very handy! 😉
Keep it up!
Cheers,
Wicked
